Team India's T20 World Cup title win marked the end of Rahul Dravid's tenure as the head coach of the team. He is departing as one of the coaching greats, and the Men in Blue gave him a fitting send-off by winning the coveted T20 World Cup silverware and ending the title drought. Before Dravid officially commences on his route and de-board the team, a lot of congratulatory and appreciation messages emerged for the former Indian cricketer. Among them was former Team India coach Greg Chappell, who hailed Dravid's tenure with the squad.

World Cup-winning coach for Team India, Greg Chappell, heaped nothing but praise on Rahul Dravid's name as the former Indian cricketer departs from the role after not re-applying for the role. Chappell, who had worked alongside the legendary Indian cricket during his run as the India coach, feels the T20 World Cup win was a fitting send-off for him as he departs from the Men in Blue and that the triumph will be pleasuring for him.
“Congratulations to India on winning the T20 World Cup. I am particularly pleased for Rahul [Dravid] for being part of the victory.

“His passion for Indian cricket has always been plain to see, so for him to have been an integral part of the planning for this win must be particularly satisfying for him. It is a wonderful way for him to finish his time with the team,” Chappell said as per mid-day.

After Team India's T20 World Cup win, several gloomy updates surfaced right after the match-up. Virat Kohli announced that the T20 World Cup final was his last game in the T20Is, and he ended his limited-over run fittingly. At the post-match press conference, Rohit Sharma also revealed that he is also stepping down from the format. Ace all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was the third person to announce that he was stepping down, and he revealed it over social media.
It is the end of an era for the squad as the senior players will not feature in the T20Is anymore. But it will open the chance for the younger generation to emerge and shine brighter.
