Zaheer Khan made a huge statement ahead of IND vs AUS World Cup  final 

Ahead of Sunday, November 19, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, India's ICC Men's World Cup 2023 final versus Australia, veteran fast-bowler Zaheer Khan gave team skipper Rohit Sharma a boost. In an interview with Cricbuzz, Zaheer praised Rohit's skillful management of big moments and emphasised the captain's outstanding leadership abilities.

Zaheer continued by calling Rohit a remarkable leader and highlighting his capacity to strike a balance between energy and ease during the current ODI World Cup. India has accomplished the remarkable achievement of winning the 2023 World Cup ten times in a row under Rohit's leadership. He said: 

“Rohit Sharma is someone who is a fantastic leader. In this World Cup he's been intense and relaxed at the same time. That is something which has rubbed off in the whole dressing room. Yet you see him very intense when he goes out to bat, showing that intent from the word go, batting at that strike rate, scoring hundreds. That's what you want from your leader,”

Zaher Khan said Rohit Sharma is a man of big occasions 

Zaheer kept praising Rohit Sharma, stressing the captain's ability to handle big situations and his natural grasp of the winning combination. Rohit is the only batter to score 500 or more runs in consecutive ODI World Cups, thanks to his outstanding performance in the 2023 World Cup, where he amassed 550 runs in 10 matches. He added: 

“He's someone who has been there and done that so many times. Rohit knows how to deal with big occasions. We've seen at different levels, when you have to win trophies, he knows exactly what it takes. So I think he's going to keep things very simple. I would say keep everything flowing the way it has been,” 

The approaching final between hosts India and the five-time champions Australia promises to be a titanic battle of cricket. India's Men in Blue have been playing at their best, going undefeated in 10 games thus far in the competition. Their supremacy was demonstrated when they won the league stage with an undefeated record and then easily defeated New Zealand by 70 runs in the semi-final at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.

Conversely, after winning seven games and losing two, the Australians finished the group stage in third position. Australia bounced back from losses to South Africa and India with an outstanding seven-match winning run in the league stage, laying the groundwork for a thrilling final.
