'I am worried,': Rohit Sharma reacts as rain looms over potential impact on IND vs ENG WC semi-final

In ongoing T20 World Cup 2024, India and England are scheduled to face off in second semifinal. much awaited game is set to take place at Providence Stium in Guyana on Thursday, June 27. 

This match is a rematch of 2022 T20 World Cup semi-final, in which England humiliated India with a 10-wicket loss before defeating Pakistan in championship match to win title. Rohit Sharma-led team will want to exact revenge on England when y play m again tomorrow.

Rohit Sharma's funny view on prospect of rain-hit IND vs ENG T20 World Cup semifinal match

captain of Indian squ, Rohit Sharma, joked that if ir T20 World Cup semifinal against England goes into night, Men in Blue would miss ir booked chartered flight. He said, laughing, that Cricket West Indies and International Cricket Council will handle ir travel plans.

At Providence Stium in Guyana on Thursday, June 27, Men in Blue will take on England in second semifinal of 2024 T20 World Cup. Start time for match is 8:00 PM IST (10:30 AM local time). Unlike South Africa vs. Afghanistan semifinal, which has a reserve day, India-England match must be finished on same day as final is set for June 29.

Speaking at a news conference prior to India vs. England semifinal in Guyana, Rohit Sharma cracked a clever joke on wear and how it would affect match. Rohit Sharma said (via-HT):

“ overhe conditions is in nobody's control, you don't know what is going to happen. only thing I am worried is if game goes on till pretty late we have a chartered flight and we might miss that [sic],"

“But that is ok, it is ICC and Cricket West Indies' heache to get us to next venue. We will focus on how we can play this game well and get result in our favor. Two good cricket teams are going to play so it's going to be a great game,"

“I don't think it is an vantage. A lot of se players have played in different s of venues. I am sure a lot of English cricketers have played here. So I don't see it as an vantage, at end of day, you have to play good cricket to win. That is how I look at it,” 

37-year-old Indian skipper also disputed assertions that India h an unfair edge because ICC h alrey decided that, should y vance, Team India would play second semifinal in Guyana. Rohit Sharma retorted that England's players are likewise conversant with West Indies wear.

India was given second semifinal in Guyana. first semifinal is set to start at 6:00 AM IST and second semifinal at 8:00 PM IST.
