Indian all-rounder Axar Patel managed to get the prized wicket of England skipper Jos Buttler in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup 2024 on Thursday. In the match, Buttler was dismissed for 23 while chasing a target of 172.

Axar shows Jos who's the boss
Jos Buttler, who is known for his explosive batting, was attempting to reverse sweep Axar Patel on the very first ball of his over. However, the shot ended straight up in the air and was taken cleanly by Rishabh Pant. Axar went on to take two more wickets - Jonny Bairstow and Moeen Ali.
Jos Buttler has made history as the first England player to surpass 1,000 runs in ICC T20 World Cup history. He achieved this milestone by scoring his 10th run against India in the second semi-final of the ongoing 2024 tournament at Providence Stadium in Guyana. Buttler is the fourth player overall to reach this landmark.

IND vs ENG, T20 World Cup 2024
Skipper Rohit Sharma showed how to bat on a pitch with low bounce as India did well to reach 171 for seven in the rain-hit second semifinal of the T20 World Cup against England here on Thursday.
Virat Kohli perished early once early, trying to force the pace but Rohit (57 off 39 balls) found an able ally in Suryakumar Yadav (47 off 36) as the two powered India to a challenging total.
The keenly awaited fixture was impacted by intermittent rain with the start of play being delayed by one hour and 15 minutes. Another halt came when India were 65 for two in eight overs.
