At Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) Stadium in Pune, Indian cricket team played Bangladesh in ICC ODI World Cup 2023. After winning toss, Bangladesh chose to bat and reached 256/8 in 50 overs. In reply, India won match by seven wickets after Rohit Sharma and his team chased down total in just 41.3 overs.

IND vs BAN: Ravindra Jadeja named India's best fielder

Fielding coach T. Dilip awarded India's versatile all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja,  ‘Best Fielder of Match’ for his incredible diving catch at backward point during match against Bangladesh on October 19. match was played at Maharashtra Cricket Stadium in Pune. Jadeja's amazing catch proved to be crucial in taking out a well-positioned Mushfiqur Rahim, who was dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah. India were able to control run flow of Bangladesh in large part because of this important catch.

Jadeja took a remarkable catch with his n-dominant hand by diving to his right, demonstrating his excellent fielding abilities. Mohammed Siraj's bowling, this catch outperformed a terrific effort by KL Rahul behind stumps, where wicketkeeper dove in opposite direction to catch Mehidy Hasan down leg side. KL Rahul, Shardul Thakur and Virat Kohli have previously won award for ir fielding.

India defeated Bangladesh in a teworthy match, marking ir fourth straight tournament victory. With seven wickets remaining, India emerged victorious, reaching 261-3 in 41.3 overs after successfully chasing down Bangladesh's total of 256-8. With an undefeated 103, Virat Kohli recorded his 48th ODI century and was a major factor in this victory.

What’s next for Team India? 

This win will help India in ir pursuit of a third World Cup title. next test for Rohit Sharma and team will come against New Zealand at HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala on October 22, 2023. New Zealand are also on same track of being unbeaten in World Cup so far.
