Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Felicitates Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav Following T20 WC Triumph

Team India's World Cup winning captain Rohit Sharma, players Suryakumar Yav, Shivam Dubey and Yashasvi Jaiswal arrived at Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's residence to be felicitated for ir triumph in T20 World Cup 2024. 

It has been a whirlwind 24 hours for Rohit Sharma and his team as World Champions returned home and were greeted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Following ir meet with PM y flew to Mumbai to carry forward ir celebrations in an Open Bus Victory Pare through Marine Drive followed by a grand party with fans at Wankhede Stium.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde felicitates Rohit Sharma and Company

Maharashtra cricketers from T20 World Cup winning squ Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yav, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dubey were invited to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's residence ‘Varsha’ where y will be felicitated. 

All four cricketers arrived at CM residence and met with Eknath Shinde. honourary CM felicated Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yav and also presented m with an idol of Lord Ganesha, 

Eknath Shinde also felicitated young and upcoming Indian Cricket stars in Suryakumar Yav and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

‘We are Proud of Him’: Eknath Shinde on Rohit Sharma 

Post felicitation as Eknath Shinde was making his way out, he hailed Rohit Sharma and his Indian Cricket Team for ir fantastic efforts in making nation proud.  

“(Indian cricket team) skipper Rohit Sharma came here, and I would like to congratulate him. He is a World Cup winner and a down-to-earth person. We are proud of him,” said Maharasthra CM Eknath Shinde. 

Rohit Sharma has now joined elusive list of Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni as only Indian captains to win a World Cup for nation.
