IND vs USA: Yuvraj Singh enters India's dressing room, Siraj gets SPECIAL gift from the legend-WATCH

It was a cheerful atmosphere in the dressing room of the Indian National Cricket Team after they defeated the USA and qualified for the Super Eights. At the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, a jittery Team India stood up to the task against the Aaron Jones-led side. Even though the US looked like a potent force, India bounced back well with the bat after Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube maturely handled the innings. India already shined with the ball, and they managed to pull off the win to qualify for the Super 8 stage. After the match, the medal ceremony took place in the Men in Blue's dressing room, featuring Yuvraj Singh as the medal presenter.

Yuvraj Singh makes his presence at Best Fielder medal ceremony after India's win vs US at New York

The fan-favourite 'Best Fielder' medal ceremony took place in the dressing room of Team India after they beat the US and qualified for Super Eight. Fielding coach T Dilip led the ceremony as he spoke about Team India's performance as the squad was seated around for the occasion. He then named Mohammed Siraj, Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav as the contenders for the medal as the team cheered for them. T Dilip then brought out one of the finest Indian fielders to commemorate the occasion and hailed him as the epitome of fielding excellence. As it turns out, it was T20 WC's brand ambassador Yuvraj Singh.

Yuvi went on to applaud Arshdeep Singh, Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube for their contributions to the game. He then named Mohammed Siraj as the best fielder and hailed him as the game-changer of the match.

South Africa and Australia have also officially qualified for the Super 8 stage, along with Team India. The opponents of the Rohit Sharma-led team have not yet been announced, however they have been named in a couple Super 8 matches.

With scores of 111/3 against 110/8 for the USA, India prevailed in the chase in New York, largely due to the efforts of Shivam Dube (31), Arshdeep Singh (4/9) and Suryakumar Yadav (50*). It has aided Rohit Sharma's team in securing a spot in the Super 8, where they will take on some of the top teams in the league.

At Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida, on June 15, 2024, Team India will play their last group-stage match versus Canada.
