'SHOW RESPECT': Haris Rauf issues fiery statement after ugly scuffle with fan in USA

Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf found himself in an altercation with a man in Florida, where he is spending time with his wife. During a stroll around the city, Rauf was provoked by a comment from the man, which led to a heated confrontation. The situation escalated quickly as Rauf attempted to confront the individual, but onlookers and his wife intervened to prevent any physical altercation. Despite these efforts, Rauf managed to break free and exchanged a few expletives with the man before being separated by the surrounding crowd.

Haris Rauf issues a statement

Following the incident, Haris Rauf took to social media to issue a fiery statement addressing the situation. Haris Rauf played four matches in the T20 World Cup 2024 and picked up 7 wickets at an average of 14.42 and economy rate of 6.73.

"I decided not to bring this on social media, But now that the video is out, I feel it is necessary to address the situation. As public figures, we are open to receiving all kinds of feedback from the public. They are entitled to support or criticize us. Nevertheless, when it comes to my parent and my family, I will not hesitate to respond accordingly. It is important to show respect towards people and their families, irrespective of their professions," Haris Rauf wrote in his statement.

This incident comes in the wake of Pakistan's disappointing performance in the T20 World Cup 2024, where they were knocked out in the first round.
