PM Modi hands ODI World Cup trophy to Australia captain Pat Cummins, watch the historic moment

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed ODI World Cup 2023 trophy to Australia captain Pat Cummins at a stium named after him at Ahmedab in Gujarat. Australia beat India by 6 wickets to lift ir sixth ODI World Cup title on Sunday. Travis He played a marvelous knock to take Australia home as y chased down 240 runs in 43 overs. 

PM Modi, who was attending match in Gujarat, was invited to ground by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah to hand World Cup trophy to winning captain. PM Modi was seen congratulating Australian captain on ir win over India in summit clash of ODI World Cup. PM Modi handed trophy to Pat Cummins and left stage for Australians to celebrate. 

Earlier, PM Modi took to his official social media handle to congratulate Australian team on winning ODI World Cup 2023. 

Batting first, India posted 240 runs in 50 overs with Virat Kohli and KL Rahul scoring a half-century each. Rohit Sharma contributed at top with a quickfire 47 off 31 balls. However, target turned out to be on lower side as Australia won comfortably with 42 balls to spare. Travis He and Marnus Labuschagne forged a crucial partnership for third wicket with former winning player of match award.
