New Zealand take the ‘review of the tournament’ for dismissing Dushmantha Chameera
The New Zealand cricket team put up a brilliant bowling display during the SL vs NZ CWC 2023 match and removed the first eight Sri Lankan batsmen for just 113 runs. The Kiwi pacers continued their efforts to wrap up the innings quickly and in the same stint they took the ‘review of the tournament’. During the fourth ball of the 24th over of the first innings, Lockie Ferguson's low full toss went on to take the inside edge of Dushmantha Chameera's bat and later hit his pad. However, the Kiwi players were excited by the incident and later a DRS for the same was taken by skipper Kane Williamson. However, seeing the replay the whole team members were devastated especially Daryl Mitchell and Glenn Phillips as they were the ones who convinced Williamson to go for the review.
