Rohit Sharma bites the grass of the Barbados Pitch as Team India' seal a historic T20 World Cup win

It was very amazing to witness the fans' joyous reaction as Rohit Sharma's Men in Blue finally won the trophy. The team's collective effort has enabled them to break the long-standing curse and win the championship. When he was spotted enjoying a great time, Rohit Sharma was ecstatic. In an attempt to commemorate the location of his maiden ICC championship as captain, Rohit was observed removing a piece of the Barbados pitch.

As the players of Team India were soaking in the win at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Final against South Africa, Rohit Sharma chose to take a piece of the Kensington Oval and also give respect to the venue. The ICC shared a video clip on the social media platform Instagram which featured Rohit Sharma taking some grass blades out of the pitch in Bridgetown, Barbados and chewing it. He continued to pay his respect and pat the track as he left.
Rohit's move to bite the grass looks to be a custom, but not much is known about it. nevertheless, the video has made waves over social media as fans put respect to the name of the Indian Cricket Team skipper.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has confirmed that the T20 World Cup will be his final match in the format as he announces his retirement. Not just the skipper, but Virat Kohli also announced that the World Cup final will be his last in the limited-over format. It is the end of an era, but the fans will still see Rohit and Kohli in action in Tests and one-day internationals. It is an emotional moment for Indian Cricket fans as the iconic Ro & Ko duo will not be seen in action in the T20Is anymore.
