As much-awaited final draws near, International Cricket Council houred one of most rewned batsmen in T20 World Cup history, Virat Kohli. Even though he has never won competition, Kohli has an outstanding record—he is all-time leading scorer in T20 World Cup history. With 1,216 runs in 34 games at an amazing aver of 57.90 and a record 14 half-centuries, he has been a reliable performer since 2012. In two T20 World Cups—2014 and 2022—Kohli is only batsman to have ended as top run scorer. He wants to win ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at last this year.

ICC posted a photo of Kohli sitting on a throne, donning current India shirt, with pictures from his past T20 World Cup appearances all around him. With his post, Broad took a subtly critical stance against ICC, which sparked debate among both fans and analysts.
