Stuart Broad attempts to take 'IPL' jibe at Virat Kohli after IND destroyed ENG ahead of WC final

India defeated England by 68 runs in a dramatic semi-final match of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 at Providence Stadium. India achieved a competitive total of 171/7 in 20 overs, led by table performances from Rohit Sharma (57 off 39 deliveries) and Suryakumar Yadav (47 off 36 balls). In response, England fell to India's spinners, with Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav both claiming three wickets, reducing England to 103 all out in 16.4 overs. Axar Patel was named Player of Match for his all-round effort, capturing three wickets for 23 runs and scoring ten off six balls as India advanced to final against South Africa.

Stuart Broad starts new beef with Virat Kohli after India destroyed England in ICC T20 World Cup final 2024
In reaction to an Instagram post by ICC praising Indian batsman Virat Kohli before T20 World Cup final, former England pacer Stuart Broad gently criticised both ICC and Kohli.
On Saturday, June 29 at Kensington Oval in Barbados, India and South Africa will square off in ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final. In first semifinal, South Africa defeated Afghanistan to advance to final; in second semifinal, India defeated England, current champions.

As much-awaited final draws near, International Cricket Council houred one of most rewned batsmen in T20 World Cup history, Virat Kohli. Even though he has never won competition, Kohli has an outstanding record—he is all-time leading scorer in T20 World Cup history. With 1,216 runs in 34 games at an amazing aver of 57.90 and a record 14 half-centuries, he has been a reliable performer since 2012. In two T20 World Cups—2014 and 2022—Kohli is only batsman to have ended as top run scorer. He wants to win ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at last this year.
ICC posted a photo of Kohli sitting on a throne, donning current India shirt, with pictures from his past T20 World Cup appearances all around him. With his post, Broad took a subtly critical stance against ICC, which sparked debate among both fans and analysts.

Stuart Broad was unable to resist snarking at Virat Kohli and International Cricket Council. Taking a swipe, England cricket great wrote, "IPL?" on ICC post.
Like Twenty20 World Cup, Virat Kohli is all-time highest run scorer in Indian Premier League (IPL), but he is yet to win competition. With his critical comment, Broad draws attention to fact that Virat Kohli's dominance is unmatched in world of cricket.
