Former Indian footballer Sunil Chhetri appreciated the Indian Cricket Team's title win at the Kensington Oval in Kingstown, Barbados. Chhetri revealed that he was overflowing with joy as they lifted an ICC silverware after over a decade. Chhetri revealed that he couldn't celebrate the win with zeal as his son was sleeping.

"I celebrated quietly because my son was sleeping. I am really happy for the team. I could see the tears of a lot of our boys. It meant so much to them and the whole country. I am really proud of them. Special shoutout to Suryakumar (Yadav), great catch. Well done Boy!

"They are all very happy, he is happy. You know when you go to a tournament, they have been favourites, they have lost finals, they have lost semi-finals, and that's why it means so much to them. Kudos to them," Chhetri said during the Sony Sports' broadcast for Euro 2024.
