Rahul Dravid took over as coach of Indian Cricket Team back in 2021 after a failed T20 World Cup 2021 campaign. He took over from home series against New Zealand and since n has been instrumental in changing India's approach in T20Is, ODI and tests.

Despite all of India's dominance in world cricket, until now Rahul Dravid has failed to bring India an ICC trophy be it ICC ODI World Cup, ICC T20 World Cup or ICC World Test Championship.

Under Rahul Dravid India has been to 4 ICC tournaments. T20 World Cup 2022 where India lost to England in semi finals, ICC World Test Championship final 2023 where India lost to Australia in final and ICC ODI World Cup 2023 where India once again lost to Australia in final. 

This will be his fourth and last appearance in his ICC event at T20 World Cup 2024. And with India reaching finals against South Africa, he has chance to sign off as a world cup winner and bring his nation trophy y have craved for so long.
