The T20 World Cup 2024 group stages are starting to take shape as South Africa's recent win over Bangladesh with just four runs has added some interesting diagonal to this year's tournament.
The T20 World Cup until now has been nothing short of surprises with some major upsets taking place. As we are nearing towards the business end of group stages there is genuine concern surrounding top teams like England, New Zealand and Pakistan. All these sides are in danger of ending their T20 World Cup campaign on a shockingly premature note as an early group stage exit looms.
With South Africa emerging victorious against Bangladesh in last over thriller, they have almost sealed their spot into the Super 8 of the tournament. Here's a look at the updated points table after South Africa vs Bangladesh, which teams are on top and which teams are in trouble.

Group A
In Group A, India lead the standings after two wins in their first two games. USA are second with four points as well but India have a superior net run rate. As for Pakistan they are on the verge of exit in the group stages after losing both of their opening games.
