Sri Lanka are all set to kick start their T20 World Cup 2024 campaign today in their opening Group D fixture against South Africa.
10 years on from winning their only T20 World Cup and their last ICC trophy, the Lankan lions will enter the tournament in USA and West Indies looking to redeem themselves at the World Stage. Sri Lanka has been going through a tough time in ICC tournaments over the last five years and the T20 World Cup presents an opportunity for themselves to right some of the wrongs.
Apart from South Africa, Sri Lanka will also face Netherlands, Nepal, and Bangladesh in the group stages and they will fancy themselves to advance into the Super eight of the competition.
