Virat Kohli meets West Indian legend Wesley Hall ahead of India vs Afghanistan T20 World Cup match

In advance of the Men in Blues' Super Eight match against Afghanistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup, which is set for Thursday, June 20, star Indian batter Virat Kohli recently had the opportunity of visiting West Indian cricket great Wesley Hall. After exchanging cordial welcomes, Hall gave Kohli a copy of his book "Answering the Call" and they posed for pictures.

Wesley Hall played 48 Test matches over his illustrious career as a West Indian from 1958 to 1969. Nine five-wicket hauls were among the 192 wickets the 86-year-old took at an astounding 26.38 average.

Hall further told ANI that he gave Virat Kohli, skipper Rohit Sharma, and head coach Rahul Dravid his book. Wesley Hall said:

"I gave three books today. I gave a book to the captain and another one to the coach and Virat Kohli. All three of them are great players. It's good to see people getting rewarded. Sometimes, you are a good player, and you haven't made it. I think they have done very well for India,"

"Answering the Call" follows Hall's remarkable career in cricket and his ascent to become one of the most renowned fast bowlers in the annals of the game. Published in November 2022, Hall also published a second edition earlier this year.
