Why Are You Serious Chahal?: Even PM Modi Roasts Yuzi Chahal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with the Indian Cricket Team post their T20 World Cup triumph and even PM Modi took a dig and roasted Yuzvendra Chahal.

After much fanfare and a long wait, Team India returned home after being crowned as World Champions after beating South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final. 

Upon landing in New Delhi on July 4th, 2024, Indian Cricket Team players went and met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence.  In the audio of the meet that has recently released, even Narendra Modi was seen trolling and roasting Yuzvendra Chahal in a hilarious moment.

PM Modi roasts Yuzvendra Chahal 

As Indian Cricket Team players sat down with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to have a chat about their journey towards World Cup glory, the PM started the conversation on a light note. 

As he was giving his opening observations and easing every member into the conversation, he saw leggie Yuzvendra Chahal was a bit nervous and roasted him incredibly. 

Narendra Modi caught Yuzvendra Chahal sweating and asked him why is he so serious and it was agains his nature. 

“(Yuzvendra) Chahal, Why are you so serious. I guessed it correct right? Anyone from Haryana is always happy. He finds happiness in any given moment”, said Narendra Modi.

That wasn't the only moment, Narendra Modi roasted Yuzvendra Chahal. When talking to Team India's skipper Rohit Sharma, PM Modi asked Rohit about his ‘Ric Flair’ walk to take lift the World Cup trophy. To this, Rohit Sharma replied that his teammates told him to do something different.  

Picking up on this PM Modi asked, “Was it Chahaol's Idea?” and everyone else bursted out laughing. 

Post meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian Cricket Team went on to celebrate their T20 World Cup triumph with an open bus Victory Parade in Mumbai and Wankhede stadium.
