Team India defeated South Africa by 203 runs and took a 1-0 le in ongoing three-match Freedom Trophy Test series. With ir victory, Indian team remains World 1 side in ICC Test rankings. Virat Kohli-led team also continues to top ICC World Test Championship points table with a perfect 160 points. inaugural edition of World Test Championship began with 2019 Ashes series, which was followed by a two-match series between Sri Lanka and New Zealand and continued with India’s tour of West Indies.

Teams like Pakistan and Banglesh are yet to open ir campaigns in ongoing two-year tournament. Bangleshi team will be making ir World Test Championship debut against India on vember 14 while Pakistan will be touring Australia for a two-match Test series this vember-December.
