Wriddhiman Saha set to break MS Dhoni's record against Bangladesh in first Test

India's regular Test wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha will look to move past MS Dhoni on list of wicketkeepers with most dismissals between India and Bangladesh in Tests when he takes field in two-match series starting vember 14.

India will lock horns with Bangladesh in first Test in Indore which starts on Thursday. Between India and Bangladesh in Tests, Saha has seven dismissals from two Tests while MS Dhoni tops list with 15 from three Tests.

Dinesh Karthik is second on list with 12 dismissals to his name while Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim is on third spot with 11 dismissals. Former Bangladesh cricketer Khaled Mashud is fourth with eight wickets.

Rahim had opportunity to move past Dhoni in first Test but seasoned campaigner will t keep wickets most probably as he had said he was giving up wicket-keeping in Tests to man his workload. Mohammad Mithun is likely to be Bangladesh’s wicket-keeper in Test series.

MS Dhoni is currently record holder of most dismissals in an India-Bangladesh Test (series) as he had affected 8 in one-off Test between two nations in 2009-10.

Saha was preferred over Rishabh Pant in three-match Test series against South Africa at home earlier this year. Bengal wicket-keeper made a comeback to team and was impressive behind wickets as he affected 12 dismissals, 11 catches and a stumping in three Tests against Proteas.

With India and Bangladesh set to play ir first-ever day-night Test in Kolkata from vember 22, Saha is expected to be busy behind wickets as pink ball is expected to nip around a bit more than red one.
