Sourav Ganguly's election
This has come after five days of Sourav Ganguly's election to top post of world's richest cricket body. decision after a marathon 5-hour long meeting of key BCCI stakeholders including likes of Union Minister of State Anurag Thakur and ex-BCCI boss N Srinivasan. Ganguly was unanimously elected after last-minute parleys between various factions. He will formally take over from CK Khanna in BCCI’s annual general meeting on October 23.

During his playing days, Sourav Ganguly, who is nicknamed as 'Da' was arguably one of best and finest captains in history of Indian cricket having scored 11,363 runs in 311 One-Day internationals at an aver of 41.02 and nearly helping India win 2003 World Cup. His election was widely welcomed by different sections of media, cricket and politics.
