India's young cricketing talent was on display when the Men in Blue locked horns against England at home. With several senior players being injured, the team featured several players making their debuts and instantly making an impact against the English powerhouse. The bilateral series allowed India to venture into the superstars of the upcoming decade. With the Bangladesh series approaching soon, the attention will remain on whether the young cricketers will be put to use again. But one of the star batters of the India-England series isn't eyeing a return to the national team just yet.

Upstart Team India Batter Isn’t Eyeing for a Return in Bangladesh Series

MCA and Team India batter Sarfaraz Khan spoke to the Indian Express and opened up on his intent to be a part of the upcoming Bangladesh bilaterals. He doesn't seem to be looking for a comeback in the red-ball series but will be eager to step up if the opportunity comes to him.

"I'm not looking at the Bangladesh series. But I've to follow the process and be ready. I have zero expectations… But I’ll be ready if the opportunity arises. That is what I've been doing all along and I don’t see any reason to change that," Sarfaraz Khan said.

Sarfaraz Khan has been away from competitive cricket, and the star MCA cricketer is using the time to make himself fit and leaner. Currently, the star cricketer is leading Mumbai at the Buchi Babu tournament, which could pave his way to a possible return to International cricket.

Sarfaraz Khan's dream to make his India debut was fulfilled in March 2024 during the England Tests. He was brought in as a replacement for Shreyas Iyer in the middle order, as the star player was injured. Sarfaraz was a firecracker against the Three Lions as he scored a good amount of runs and also proved himself efficient while fielding.
