Dan Snyder changing Redskins' name to get 'bigger and better' stadium than Cowboys: Report
Washington NFL side owner Dan Snyder might use the Redskins' name change as leverage in order to get a stadium bigger and better than the Cowboys' AT&T Stadium.

Washington NFL franchisee's name change has been talk of town on social media after majority owner Dan Snyder finally agreed to change team's name. On Monday, NFL franchise anunced that it would drop term 'Redskins' from ir name after a number of Native American leaders and organisations termed deemed word a racist slur. Although new name for Washington NFL side has been decided upon, some reports claim that Dan Snyder agreed on Redskins name change to improve his odds at getting land for a new stadium.

Did Dan Snyder agree on Redskins name change for a bigger and better stadium?
According to Vinny Ceratto, a former executive of Washington NFL side, Dan Snyder is using Redskins name change to lever a deal for a new stadium. While speaking to ESPN, Ceratto said that Snyder has been er to build a new stadium "bigger and better" than AT&T Dallas Cowboys Stadium. "With politicians threatening t to sell land in Washington to Snyder unless he changed name of franchise, Snyder may have been left with choice," added Ceratto.

Prior to Redskins name change, Dan Snyder vowed 'never to change Redskins name' but overdue decision came after financial pressure from ir sponsors. Nike and FedEx, two major sponsors for Washington NFL franchise, pulled gear from ir online store and threatened to take ir respective names off team's stadium. However, Ceratto has w insisted that Snyder will use Redskins name change as a chip to get land where RFK stadium was.

Ceratto recalled a story when Snyder was invited to AT&T Dallas Cowboys Stadium, which is also nicknamed "Jerry World". Following a tour of stadium, Snyder was reportedly er to one-up Jerry Jones. "He wanted Redskins stadium to be bigger and better than AT&T Stadium, and he will make sure to get it done", Ceratto concluded. Snyder and team have reportedly been exploring new stadium homes with ir lease at FedEx Stadium in Maryland set to expire in 2027.
