Bayern Munich into play-off places after 62-56 'German derby' win over Alba Berlin

Bayern Munich moved into the Euroleague play-off places on Friday with a 62-56 win over Alba Berln at the Audi Dome.

Bayern Munich moved into Euroleague play-off places on Friday with a 62-56 win over Alba Berln at Audi Dome.

In a game that swung wildly back and forth, Alba got off to a strong start and led by four points before Bayern pulled it back to 16-16 at end of opening quarter.

Bayern n opened up a five point le in second, but from 26-21, visitors put toger a 20-3 run and y held a 12-point vantage midway through third at 41-29.

Back came home side again though and y h wiped out deficit by start of fourth.

A Zan Mark Sisko two-pointer with 4:23 on clock put Andrea Trinchieri's men back in front for good and Bayern pulled away to record ir sixth straight victory in 'German derby'.

Vlimir Lucic h a game high 19 points for winners - Berlin got 13 points from both Maodo Lo and Jaleen Smith, but y couldn't prevent ir team sliding to a fourth straight defeat.

Bayern improved to 11-11 and moved up two places to eighth in table.

Alba remain 16th with a 6-15 record.
