PMCO Pakistan postpone semi-final after repetitive, damning hacking allegations

PMCO Pakistan: PUBG Mobile Club Open semi-finals have been postponed for the third time as the organizers have been forced to screen possible hackers.

PUBG Mobile Esports launched its competitive events almost three years ago. However, while organizers have been trying to introduce more events, y are facing worst hacking incident since inception of competitive tournaments. This week, PUBG Mobile Club Open: Pakistan region was postponed for third time in same month to find players who have been using hacks.

PMCO Pakistan: PUBG in Pakistan postponed for third time in one month due to hacking

This year, PMCO has involved multiple hacking scandals, along with team disqualifications. events started after organizers started an investigation which screened PMCO Pakistan teams, putting ongoing tournament on hiatus. Post completed investigation, PUBG Mobile released a statement anuncing that a total of 19 teams – from India and Pakistan – have been banned for a lifetime.

“Four teams from Pakistan are banned for a lifetime in PUBG Mobile esports," statement read. As entire South East Asian edition of PMCO was blamed for hacking during event, authorities decided to postpone tournament in India, Pakistan and South Asia regions. suspension of event lasted till PUBG Mobile looked at and cleared all allegations. Over a course of four days, 19 teams were disqualified.

While fans and players expected tournament to resume soon after, PMCO Pakistan will be continuing ir investigation as y suspect having hackers in semi-finals st. semi-finals st is where 24 teams compete after having qualified via online qualifiers. While PMCO Pakistan is working towards identifying hackers, fans and viewers debated over anti-cheat applications used, which have reportedly been bypassed even at semi-finals st.

Reports even stated that though y were supposed to use an anti-cheat app, it was t used throughout tournament. However, it is t clear if application was t used or turned out to be ineffective. tournament's integrity was questioned online, including ir anti-cheat initiatives like Ban-Pan and new Spectating System.
