"A realistic prediction can be made in mid-May," Spadafora said in an interview with Corriere della Sera on Tuesday, denying that he wanted to call a halt to season.
"It would be surreal for a sports minister to demonise football," he said.
" majority of Italians do t welcome resumption of championship.
"But I'm t looking at polls at moment. Football is an important world in this country, I kw it well compared to those who want to give a different mess.

"re is opposition of mine, but desire to evaluate restart only if health of people within team group is safeguarded.
"If government is forced, I hope t, to establish that re are conditions (to resume), my effort will be twofold -- limit financial dam to clubs and support whole world of sport.
"Between ordinary and extraordinary resources, we will invest about one billion euros for sector as a whole."
