The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has yet again changed the venue of the 2019 AFC Cup final. The match between DPR Korea's 4.25 SC and Lebanon's team Al Ahed was previously scheduled to take place in Pyongyang will now take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The decision was made following the country's irrational decision to back out from their World Cup Asian qualifying match against the Korea Republic earlier this month.

AFC earlier announced that the Cup final will be held in Shanghai, China, but rescheduled the venue to Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium. Asia's second-tier final will be played on November 4, 2019, 9 PM (Malaysian time). The AFC officials announced that the decision was taken place keeping the televising and promotion of the game in mind so that the time is evenly matched out for the viewers of the Middle East and Asia. The AFC kept their silence about the latest switch in the venue but informed that the final will be now played two days later than the originally scheduled date. The AFC stated that both member associations and clubs have been informed and the organization apologizes for the unavoidable inconvenience.
