Alvaro Morata opens up about his torrid time at Chelsea and escape to Madrid

Doing what you love for a living is nothing more than a dream, however, for Alvaro Morata it wasn't enough while he was playing for Chelsea. In a recent interview with COPE and Radio MARCA, Alvaro Morata talked about his hard time while playing for the London-based club. Morata expressed that his transfer to Atletico Madrid came up on a positive note in his life and stated that he is extremely happy at Atletico. The former Real Madrid striker added that he stopped enjoying football during his tenure at Chelsea in the Premier League but now, he has regained the love for the great sport.

Alvaro Morata on Juventus, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid

Alvaro Morata revealed that he always felt a sense of discomfort while playing for the English giants as he never believed in himself while playing for Chelsea. Morata expressed that he always had the feeling that his Chelsea teammates were judging his abilities whenever he would have missed a chance to score. However, the Spaniard blamed himself for his rough phase at Chelsea and said that it was because of the immature decisions that he faced such limitations in his career.

The striker even stated that he talked to his wife about the situation and said to her that they are going to go far away from the club in the next window as the rising pressure was getting too much for him. Alvaro Morata confessed that he had offers from six or seven big clubs but he went for Atletico Madrid. He stated that Chelsea wanted to extend his contract but he had no desire to stay at the club. Morata also confessed that former Chelsea striker Diego Costa helped him a lot to settle at his new club.
