Arsenal mascot Gunnersaurus RETURNS for the first time since getting furloughed
Popular Arsenal mascot Gunnersaurus returned to the Emirates Stadium just over a month after being furloughed by Arsenal as part of the cost-cutting measures.

Just over a month after man behind famous Arsenal mascot, Gunnersaurus, was furloughed by club, popular figure has returned to field. Taking to social media, Gunnersaurus anunced that he was back at Emirates Stium, home of Arsenal. After popular mascot returned to field, a host of fans took to social media to celebrate occasion.

Gunnersaurus was earlier me redundant due to dire state of Arsenal finances
Jerry Quy, man behind famous Arsenal mascot was me redundant in October by club. decision to let go of Quy, who played role of Gunnersaurus for 27 years, was taken as part of club’s job-cutting scheme to deal with financial impact of COVID-19 pandemic. Gunnersaurus returns as Ozil reacts to news
Despite controversy, Gunnersaurus mand to return to Emirates Stium this week. After Jerry Quy was me redundant, out of favour midfielder Mesut Ozil h offered to pay Arsenal mascot’s ws. Following Gunnersaurus’ return, Mesut Ozil took to Twitter to reveal that he was happy to see famous face back on sidelines.

Although Gunnersaurus has returned, it is unclear who is behind Arsenal mascot’s costume. PA news ncy disclosed that re is a roster of people who w serve as Arsenal mascot across games, with club offering Jerry Quy to be part of same group as well.

Talking about Gunnersaurus’ absence in recent weeks, an Arsenal spokesperson speaking to media explained that mascot h never gone away. spokesperson explained that coronavirus restrictions have me it difficult for mascot to be seen in public while reiterating that Gunnersaurus will always remain a part of football club.
