Former Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, stated that he has not held talks with German club, Bayern Munich, to take over as their next manager but admitted the fact that he was staring at a difficult decision about a return to active football and would not refuse to talk to Bayern Munich if a possibility crops up.
Wenger said that he is still not sure about making a return to the dugout but said that he missed being on the football pitch. Arsene also added that he would take a decision in the coming days or weeks. While talking to a local media outlet, the Frenchman said that he would never refuse to talk to Bayern as he knew the people who have been running one of Germany's most successful clubs and added that at one point in his career he was going to Bayern Munich but that move did not pan out.
Arsene Wenger to Bayern Munich?
Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger refused to rule out the speculation of taking over the manager's role at German club Bayern Munich amid rumours linking him to the vacant manager's job at one of the most successful clubs in the Bundesliga. According to reports, the Frenchman has emerged at the pole position after Bayern sacked Niko Kovac after the team's 5-1 loss to Eintracht on November 2 in a league match that was played at the Commerzbank-Arena.
With Paris Saint-German manager Thomas Tuchel and Ajax manager Erik ten Hag not interested to take up the job, Wenger has not become one of the favourites to steer the club. Former Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, and former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri have also been linked to the job.
Former Germany assistant coach, Hansi Flick, has taken over as Bayern Munich's temporary manager for the club's Champions League match at Allianz Arena against Olympiakos on November 6 and their league match against Borussia Dortmund on November 9 at the Allianz Arena.
Currently, Bayern Munich is at the 4th position in the Bundesliga with a gap of 4 points against league leaders, Monchengladbach. Munich has won 5, drawn 3 and lost 2 matches out of the 10 matches they have played so far.
