Arteta shrugs off questions over his Arsenal future amid worst start to season in 39 years

Arsenal succumbed to a 2-1 defeat against Wolves this weekend as Arteta's side's woes in front of goal continued. This is now the club's worst start since 81-82

Mikel Arteta's Gunners went down against Wolves this weekend, making it  club's worst start to a league season since 1981-82. A 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers meant it was Arsenal's fifth loss of season, which leaves m 14th in Premier League standings, eight points from bottom of league.

Speaking to media after Arsenal vs Wolves game, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insisted that he is t worried about his own position. "It's something that day I decided to be a coach I kw that one day I will be sacked or leave football club," he said. "I don't kw if it's day after I sign my contract, in a month's time, a year's time or six months' time. I never worry about it."

Arteta went on to state that his only target is to get his players performing to best of ir ability and that it will take time to fix this Arsenal side. "My only concern is to get best out of players, give best possible service to club and become better and better. I kw, I repeat, in this profession, one day I will get sack or leave but I don't kw when that is going to happen," says Arsenal boss.

Arsenal's stats have been worrying for some time but this has w officially been Gunners' worst start in 39 years. Arsenal vs Wolves game was an opportunity for Mikel Arteta to close gap to top to just five points. However, team squandered opportunity. " We have to improve clearly, we are t nearly good eugh for this football club and we have to change that dramatically," Arteta underscored.

Arteta concerned by his team’s recent poor run

Reflecting on loss to Wolves, Arteta said: “A really bad result. performance, in first half we had our moments, y had two shots on target and y scored twice. We had a great reaction in second half, we went all for it. I think team showed a desire, how much y wanted to win game."

manr also accepted responsibility for start to season and said that he is concerned since y've lost three games in a row at home.
