New Barcelona signing Arturo Vidal revealing his delight to join "the best team in the world", says he is stepping up a level in his career after leaving Bayern Munich for the Spanish heavyweights.
The Chilean midfielder was presented at the club after Barcelona confirmed the signing of Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich for a reported fee of 20 million euro. The hard tackling central midfielder signed a three-year deal with the Spanish club.
It had been reported that the former Juventus midfielder was on the verge of returning to Serie A, with Inter touted as the possible destination. But with Barcelona's interest emerging, it was an offer he couldn't turn down. Speaking to the club's website at his presentation, the midfielder insisted to be happy with his move and confident he can hit the ground running in La Liga.

"I am very happy. This is the best team in the world, a step up to an even bigger club than Bayern Munich,"
"I hope to help the team win a lot of titles here and I am prepared to live up to the expectations. I've heard a lot about the 'Barcelona DNA', but I have the mentality. The most important thing is winning titles."

"It was always nice to play against players like [Lionel] Messi, because he is the best in history. Now I'm playing in the same team as Messi. I have to be up to the task, because these are the best players in the world."
Vidal has four Serie A titles with Juventus during his time with the Turin outfit, and the Bundesliga title in each of his three seasons at Bayern Munich. Hungry for more success at 30 years of age, the Chilean looks to add more trophies to his elusive cabinet.
Embarking on this new chapter with Barcelona, Vidal aims to have a crack at winning the Champions League, the only prestigious trophy that has eluded him during his illustrious career.
"My score to settle is winning the Champions League. I have not been able to win one yet," he said. "I think I can do that with this team, the best team in the world. I am here for three years so I don't just want to win one Champions League. Hopefully I can win three."
