Jude Bellingham’s goal goes vane, the Bukayo Saka injury raises concerns after England’s loss to Greece
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka was forced off with a leg injury in England's 2-1 defeat to Greece on Thursday.
Bukayo Saka was replaced in the 51st minute at Wembley Stadium after being spotted feeling and extending the back of his right leg before to Greece's initial goal two minutes ago. Saka was "being assessed," according to Lee Carsley, the interim England coach.

Under interim manager Lee Carsley, England met Greece at Wembley in a difficult game with a shockingly unusual formation that left them battling for obvious scoring chances. One of the best players, Jude Bellingham almost saved a tie with a late equaliser only for Evangelos Pavlidis to grab triumph seconds later. As England missed opportunities and let Greece rule the play, the game acted as a sobering reminder of the challenges ahead for the country.
The game started with a moving homage to Greek footballer George Baldock, who just died away, therefore adding emotional weight to the proceedings. Prominent on the roster were Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden; Saka especially kept busy close to the touchline. Though at times promising, England's performance lacked coherence and exposed weaknesses in defence that Greece took advantage of.
Bellingham's late goal highlighted his value to the group, but England's general plan seemed jumbled which propeled to his effort go in vane. The defeat begged problems about Carsley's strategy and the difficulties England has in striving for victory in next events.
