Bulgarian Football Union president Borislav Mihailov has resigned from his post following the racist incidents in Euro 2020 qualifier in Sofia on Monday night.

Bulgarian Union Football President - Borislav Mihailov - has stepped down from his post following Monday night's incidents at the Vasil Nevski National Stadium. According to reports in European media, have confirmed the development after Bulgaria Prime Minister - Boyko Borissov - hit out at the Bulgarian FA for the racist chants in the 0-6 loss to England. The UEFA Euro 2020 qualifier was stopped on two occasions due to racist chants and Nazi actions in Bulgaria. Will the nation be banned by UEFA?

England bounced back from their disappointing 2-1 loss against Czech Republic in their previous UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying game with a comprehensive 0-6 win against Bulgaria. Goals from Marcus Rashford, Ross Barkley and Raheem Sterling, sandwiched between goals from Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane secured England's spot at the top of Group A in their UEFA Euro 2020 qualifiers. However, there were multiple occasions during the game wherein players like Tyrone Mings, Raheem Sterling an Marcus Rashford were subject to racist and Nazi chants from Bulgarian fans. Following last night's disappointing incidents in Sofia, Bulgarian FA president Borislav Mihailov has stepped down from his post due to pressure from internal and external sources. Will Bulgaria be banned by UEFA authorities or will they get away with it?
