Two sending offs and an offside winner meant that Manchester United's trip to Stamford Bridge was fruitful this time around. Fernando Torres was sent off, after being booked for a dive. Branislav Ivavic was also sent off with a second yellow. Javier Hernandez once again popped with winner in fixture.

League Cup, October 2012

Three days after defeat at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea once again welcomed Manchester United in Round of 16 in League Cup. In what would go down as one of greatest fixtures to have been played in tournament's history, Chelsea emerged winners this time around. Goals from David Luiz, Eden Hazard, Daniel Sturridge, Gary Cahill and Ramires meant that Roberto di Matteo got one over his Premier League rivals on night.

Jose Mourinho returned to Stamford Bridge for first time as manr of ir rivals, United. If Portuguese expected a pleasant return, it turned out to be exact opposite. Blues netted four goals in game and also kept a clean sheet, as Mourinho's return to Stamford Bridge turned out to be a bitter one this time around.
