Liverpool will be without defender Joel Matip for the tie while Trent Alexander-Arnold is back in training after his illness. Xherdan Shaqiri remains the only long term absentee for Klopp. Jurgen Klopp has stuck to a very few players for his fixtures in the league, but the cup offers him the opportunity to test different tactics and players. Arsenal being a tough opponent, the line-up has to be strong yet contain the fringe players. A tough challenge awaits Klopp.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has been still experimenting with his side that is usually a mix of youth and experience.
