Manchester City marked a big win over the weekend against Watford. The defending Premier League champions registered a massive 8-0 win against the Hornets to take home all three points. Pep Guardiola's side seemed to take out all the frustration from the loss against Norwich on the Watford players on Sunday. City will now go up against Preston North End in the opening Carabao Cup fixture. Here is the predicted XI for tonight’s match at Deepdale.

Preston North End have enjoyed a fine start to the 2019-20 Championship season having won five of their opening eight matches this season. They are currently third on the table and will hope to put up a tough fight against Premier League champions Manchester City. Manager Alex Neil, who joined the club in 2017, will be without club captain and leader - Tom Clarke. They will also be without striker Louis Moult who is still recovering from a long-term ACL injury. They will bank on the likes of Republic of Ireland forward Sean Maguire to provide some goals. However, they will hope that their backline consisting of Darnell Fisher, Patrick Bauer, Ben Davies, Joe Raverty can thwart the dominating City attack in tonight’s Carabao Cup encounter at Deepdale.

Under the guidance of Pep Guardiola, Manchester City have truly established themselves as a force to reckon with all across Europe. The Spaniard will look to give some much-needed game time to the youngsters in the City squad after their dominant display against Watford over the weekend. Phil Foden, Gabriel Jesus will be given a chance to shine in the absence of Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero. Spanish youngster Eric Garcia will most likely accompany Nicolas Otamendi in defence due to the absences of Aymeric Laporte and John Stones.
