Premier League champions Manchester City made their way to a comfortable 3-1 win against Southampton at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday night. The Carabao Cup defending champions will hope to defend their title this season after the quarter-final draw of the tournament was carried out earlier today. Manchester City will play Oxford United away in the next round of the EFL Carabao Cup.

Pep Guardiola's boys have been drawn against League One side Oxford United in the draw, which was announced on Thursday. The third-tier club will host the defending champions in the Carabao Cup quarter-final. They will hope to pull of a rare win against the Premier League bigwigs when both teams meet.
Manchester City fielded a young playing 11 at the Etihad Stadium last night as they comfortably brushed aside fellow Premier League club Southampton FC, 3-1. A host of youngsters such as Phil Foden, Thomas Doyle and Eric Garcia were given some playing time in the middle as City established their dominance in the Carabao Cup. Sergio Aguero also made his 350th appearance for Manchester City last night.
