The coronavirus Spain situation has been worsening with each passing day and in order to limit the financial damage, Barcelona are keen on furloughing staff.

LaLiga giants Barcelona have reportedly agreed on slashing ws for n-playing members at club as Coronavirus Spain situation worsens. Barcelona club captain Lionel Messi was first to confirm pay cuts for players as Argentine anunced he would be taking a 70% drop in his ws for or n-playing staff members to receive ir full ws. discussion between Barcelona board and players reportedly did t go as planned but just over a week ago  air was cleared.  Messi was joined by or first-team members in squ to update ir Instagram accounts with mess:

Coronavirus Spain: Barcelona furlough to be implied across all boards

Coronavirus Spain situation has gotten worse over past few weeks and LaLiga clubs including Barcelona have applied for  ERTE (Temporary Reduction of Employment Action). Barcelona have anunced ir intention to cut salaries from ir footballers as well as n-playing staff members to minimise financial repercussions.  ERTE will be applied to all club's athletes, including women's football team and basketball team, among all or sporting categories. This would also include  w cuts for or n-sporting staff members at club.

Coronavirus Spain: LaLiga clubs to follow ERTE

Or LaLiga clubs including Espanyol and Alaves have also applied for ERTE while Atletico Mrid are expected to get ir petition granted by  end of this week. With COVID-19 plague still looming large, clubs are losing out on matchday revenue, TV money and sponsorship deals. A few clubs in England have alrey begun docking pay for ir n-playing staff members.
