Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 700th career goal on Monday night in Portugal’s match against Ukraine. The 34-year-old has been a star for club and country over many years and this landmark is just another feather in his cap.

Ronaldo reached the sensational milestone with an impressive penalty but Portugal was unable to find an equaliser against the 10 men Ukraine side. Ronaldo scored 5 goals for his first club Sporting CP. After his move to Manchester United, he quickly rose to ranks and showed the world what he's capable of. He scored 118 goals for the red devils before completing his move to Real Madrid.

The bulk of his incredible haul came after his move to Madrid in 2009 where he managed to score 450 goals during a nine-year spell at the club. At his current club, he has netted 32 times and it does not look like he is done yet. For Portugal, he has managed to hit the back of the net 95 times and is only behind Ali Daei who has scored 109 goals.

Ronaldo has produced numerous moments of magic on the field. Let us have a look at his 5 memorable moments:

Goal vs Porto in the Champions League:

This stunning strike from 40 yards that came out of nowhere is still fresh in United fans' memory. The screamer helped Manchester United reach the semi-final of the Champions League in what was his final season at Old Trafford.

Winning header against Barcelona:

Scoring against Barcelona while playing for Real Madrid alone in itself is a matter of great honour. Something every Real Madrid player dreams of. As Real Madrid were struggling against Barcelona – who had become relentless in the final of the Copa del Rey – Angel Di Mara flew in a beautiful cross from the left.  Ronaldo rose to the occasion and headed Madrid home with his powerful header.

Free-kick against Portsmouth:

Ronaldo may have struggled to score free-kicks lately. But this stunning strike will forever be remembered. The strike against Portsmouth in 2008 arrowed into the top corner, leaving goalkeeper David James no chance.

The goal against Chelsea in Champions League final:

Ronaldo produced a moment of magic when Manchester United beat the London club in the final of the Champions League in 2008. He scored the only goal of the game for the Red Devils. Although, Frank Lampard equalised just before the end of the half but Ronaldo stood when it mattered the most by scoring one of the most important goals of his life.

Bicycle kick against Juventus:

Ronaldo has scored a crazy number of stunning goals during his career but this perhaps tops the lot. The bicycle kick for Real Madrid against Juventus in Turin had the home fans standing to applaud. Real Madrid went on to win the Champions League for a third consecutive season before Ronaldo ended up joining Juventus the following season.
