Cristiano Ronaldo gets furious and pushes official after being denied penalty - WATCH

Cristiano Ronaldo cut out an angry figure during Tuesday's AFC Champions League match between Al-Nassr and Shabab Al-Ahil. Following two consecutive defeats, the men in Yellow Jersey were desperate for a win, and it became apparent by the body language of their talisman. Ronaldo was seemingly distraught after being denied penalty appeals and thus let out his frustration on the referee.

Al-Nassr beats Shabab Al-Ahil in AFC Champions League play-off

While the fresh Saudi Pro League season did not start as the club would have liked, Al-Nassr finally got some return in the other tournament, i.e., the AFC Champions League, where they emerged victorious. However, they were made to give out their all on the pitch. After taking the lead in the 11th minute, courtesy of a brilliant header by Talisca, Al Nassr suffered a double whammy by Yaya Al-Ghassani. The team endured a frustrating spell throughout the game before an eventual equaliser by Sultan Al-Ghannam in the 88th minute. In the added minutes, Al-Nassr made further acceleration and got a two-goal cushion.

Cristiano Ronaldo vents out frustration on referee 

It wasn't a convincing win for Al-Nassr as they trailed almost the entire second half. Moreover, Cristiano Ronaldo wasn't amused with the decisions taken by the match official. There is no provision for VAR in the AFC Champions League and hence few decisions went against him. The first one came in the 9th minute when two defenders from both sides tackled CR7. He felt he was fouled but did not get any response from the official. 

The second appeal came in the 46th minute when Ronaldo's acrobatic attempt took a deflection of Shabab Al-Ahil's defender. It was a case of handball but the ref apparently could not get a clear sight of it. The call by the in-match official made Ronaldo furious and blatantly showcased how livid he was. After giving the official an earful he pushed an individual, who appeared to be a member of the ground staff.
