Cristiano Ronaldo's former team-mate Keylor Navas admits that the Portuguese forward's absence is severely missed at Real Madrid as the Los Blancos' goal-scoring crisis continued in their Champions League match on Tuesday.

For the first time in more than a decade, Madrid has gone three straight games without a goal after suffering 1-0 loss against CSKA Moscow in an early setback to the Spanish club’s title defense in the Champions League.

To add to their woes in the post-Ronaldo era, this is the third-successive match that the Spanish giants have failed to score and register wins. The last time Real Madrid went goal-less in three consecutive matches was back in Janauary 2007.

With Benzema misfiring, and Gareth Bale out due to injury, Real Madrid could have done with the services of Cristiano Ronaldo. However, after spending 9 seasons, the prolific forward decided to leave the Spanish capital for Juventus as the club's highest scorer, thus leaving a sizable boots for his successor.

Reflecting on the shock away loss against the Russian outfit, the Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylo Navas was determined to move on, but he suggested that his team had a huge void to fill in following Cristinao Ronaldo's departure.

"Cristiano left the bar very high at Real Madrid," he said. "You cannot cover the sun with a finger. He made many goals while he was here, but it's already the past and we cannot live in the past.''

While Real Madrid is facing goal-scoring woes with Ronaldo no longer at the helm, his new club, Juventus, did just fine without him on Tuesday. Ronaldo was missing for the Italian champions in their match against Young Boys after his sending-off against Valencia in the opening match week.

Paulo Dybala stepped up in the Portuguese superstar’s absence by scoring a hat trick in a 3-0 win to put Juventus on top of its group and claim the second matchball of the tournament.
