Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) General Secretary spoke about the chances of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi playing in the same league again.

Days after Cristia Ronaldo me his debut in Saudi Pro League for Al Nassr, a Saudi football official has w shed light on chances of Lionel Messi playing again in same league as former. Ronaldo signed a lucrative deal for Riyh-based club and joined m earlier this month. He will reportedly earn approximately $200 million per year.
Ronaldo played his first match for club on January 22, days after playing his first match on Saudi soil. On January 19, a Saudi-All-Star XI team locked horns against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG)'s Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Neymar, and ors in an exhibition match at King Saud University Stium in Riyh. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) General Secretary Ibrahim Alkassim has w revealed possibility of Argentine football captain Lionel Messi following Ronaldo’s footsteps. Having won 2022 FIFA World Cup for his nation last month, Messi remains to be one of hottest properties in transfer market. It is understood that Saudi clubs Al Ittih and Al Hilal have alrey shown interest in roping in seven-time Ballon d’Or winner, as he is yet to renew his contract with PSG.

Speaking to Marca, SAFF General Secretary said, “At moment we do t kw anything about a possible Lionel Messi arrival. Although I will t hide that, as Saudi Federation, we would like to have him one day in domestic league."

" idea of Federation is always to improve our football, and of course we would like to see Cristia and Messi in same league again, but truth is that we don’t kw anything w," Alkassim ded.
It is pertinent to mention that Messi’s current contract with reigning Ligue 1 champions runs till end of this summer. PSG is currently eyeing to win prestigious UEFA Champions League, having failed to do so last year after Messi joined team. However, Messi led a young Argentine team to ir first World Cup title since 1986, while Cristia Ronaldo-led Portuguese side for kcked out in quarter-finals.
