Douglas Costa turned saviour for Maurizio Sarri's Juventus as they scraped to a 2-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow in the Champions League. A goal from Aaron Ramsey, or some would argue Cristiano Ronaldo, put Juventus ahead early in the 4th minute. However, just minutes later Aleksei Miranchuk levelled for the hosts. It then took a wonderful solo goal from Douglas Costa to hand Juventus the win.

During the game in the Russian capital, Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo was taken off by Maurizio Sarri and replaced by Argentinian forward Paulo Dybala with just under 10 minutes to go. The substitution didn't go down too well with Ronaldo. The former Real Madrid star looked visibly furious with Maurizio Sarri's to replace him late in the game. Ronaldo was also seen exchanging a few words with the Italian manager before making his way to the Juventus bench.

Cristiano Ronaldo left frustrated in Juventus' Champions League win over Lokomotiv Moscow
It was a frustrating night for Cristiano Ronaldo at Moscow. Had his free-kick gone in without the interference of Aaron Ramsey, Juventus' 300th Champions League goal would be credited to Ronaldo on the night. Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri gave a somewhat questionable response when asked about the substitution incident with Ronaldo. Sarri said that Ronaldo appeared angry since he had a knee problem since the past few days. On seeing Ronaldo awkwardly try to accelerate late in the game, Sarri said that he decided it was best to substitute the Portuguese in order to avoid escalating the injury. The substitution didn't go down too well with Juventus fans either. Considering that Cristiano Ronaldo has often netted late goals to secure a victory for the Bianconeri, their frustrations with Sarri's decision is understandable.
