Man United goalkeeper David de Gea was nicknamed 'Karius' by Real Madrid star Marco Asensio after his error-strewn performances at the 2018 World Cup for Spain.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has been in headlines for all wrong reasons over past year or so. David de Gea has been mentioned in same sentence as Loris Karius in recent times thanks to some debacle-filled displays over past 18 months. Calls for Spanish international to be dropped have been growing especially with on-loan goalkeeper Dean Henderson excelling at Sheffield United. Man United legend Paul Scholes offered words of encourment for David de Gea on Instagram, suggesting 29-year-old will be back to his best and his displays were reason why Man United finished in top 10 for past six seasons.
