Former Arsenal player Paul Merson reportedly said that Manchester United's latest signing Odion Ighalo could be a problem for Ed Woodward and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. striker signed for Red Devils on a loan deal until end of 2019-20 season. Manchester United failed to sign former player Josh King as Bournemouth rejecting ir bid and that prompted board to go for Odion Ighalo on deline day of January transfer window.

Red Devils are hoping for Ighalo to deliver

According to reports, Red Devils are hoping Ighalo to bolster ir attack in absence of Marcus Rashford until end of season. Merson is of opinion that if Ighalo fails to make his mark n Solskjaer and Woodward could face sack. He furr ded that if former Watford striker rediscovers his form n he can be a popular figure at Old Trafford.

former player said that last time Ighalo played in England, he struggled and scored only one goal in 18 matches. He furr ded that striker is coming into a team that is alrey struggling and biggest one he has played for. Merson said that if Ighalo does t capitalise on Rashford's absence n it will d more pressure on manr as y are always judged on basis of ir results and players y sign.
