Manchester United vice-chairman Ed Woodward, only Friday, told fans re will be reduced spending in transfer market due to impact of coronavirus. English Premier League games have t been played for more than six weeks and stadiums are due to be closed to fans when season resumes in June at earliest, leading to a fall in various sources of revenue for club.

Decrease in transfer spending

As ever, our priority is success of team, but we need visibility of impact across whole industry, including timings of transfer window, and wider financial picture, before we can talk about a return to rmality.”

“I cant help feeling that speculation around transfers of individual players for hundreds of millions of pounds this summer seems to igre realities that face sport,” Woodward said.

Red Devils have t anunced any sort of pay cuts or job cuts till w and re has been intimation of same yet by club.

“Of course, everyone is grappling with ecomic realities of pandemic and we are different. So longer crisis continues greater impact will be for every club, including ourselves," Woodward said.

He added, “We have always believed that our commercial model gives us greater resilience than most clubs, and we are grateful for enduring support of our commercial partners in helping us achieve that.”

last match of Premier League took place on March 10 and around 10 matches of season are still remaining. Liverpool leads  championship with a lead of 25 points. United are fifth in Premier League with nine games remaining.
