El Clasico: Where will Barcelona vs Real Madrid take place?
El Clasico venue and date left in a shroud of mystery
There is a lot of uncertainty surrounding this season's first El Clasico which is scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 26 at the Camp Nou. But the recent political unrest within the Catalonia vicinity has given rise to security concerns regarding players from both teams. While Barcelona maintains that the game will not face any problems from local supporters, Real Madrid are asking LaLiga officials to shift the El Clasico from Camp Nou to Santiago Bernabeu. As per reports in Spanish media, the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) and an independent body will decide as to whether or not the LaLiga game will go ahead. Barcelona and Real Madrid are said to be against the switch of venues, which means that the game could be rescheduled to December 2019 after the conclusion of the political unrest.
