Euro 2020 Qualifiers: Bulgarian Police arrest four people over racism
The Bulgarian police released a statement which read that 'Work is still ongoing to identify other participants in the incident' regarding the unpleasant issue.

According to reports from European media, Bulgarian police have got hold of four people in connection with racist chants which were hurled at England players during Bulgaria's Euro 2020 qualifiers game. England's 6-0 thrashing of Bulgaria was overshadowed by the unacceptable behaviour from Bulgarian fans in Monday night's clash. The officials stopped the game twice in the first half due to the disappointing events and Gareth Southgate along with his players considered walking off the pitch.

UEFA, which is European football's governing body, has already begun with their disciplinary proceedings against Bulgaria following the event. UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin made it clear that he will do everything to start a war against racists and racism. The Bulgarian Interior Ministry released a statement on Wednesday stating that they have arrested four people and they are still looking out for the other participants involved the incident. The ministry also claimed that any evidence which comes under notice will be directed to the prosecutors. Due to the events occurred in Tuesday's game, Borislav Mihaylov, the president of Bulgaria's soccer federation, resigned from his position. Bulgaria's coach Krasimir Balakov has stated his apology to the visitors and captain of Bulgaria's team Ivelin Popov said that he is embarrassed by the way his country's audience behaved during the clash.
