Everton to refund fans for remaining games of 2019-20 Premier League season

Coronavirus UK: Everton have announced that they will offer fans a refund on tickets for the remaining Premier League games of the 2019-20 season.

Despite coronavirus concerns, Bundesliga became first major European league to resume (albeit in empty stadiums) over weekend. Clubs that play in Serie A in Italy and LaLiga in Spain have also begun training as y gear up for a potential season restart in next couple of weeks.  Premier League is also planning for 'Project Restart' but re is official Premier League return date being offered by league officials as of May 19, 2020. Despite a potential Premier League return, Merseyside club Everton anunced in an official statement that y will offer a refund to ir fans who already purchased tickets for remaining matches of 2019-20 season.

On Monday, Merseyside-based club released an official statement that read "Everton has confirmed all fans with tickets for Club’s remaining five home Premier League fixtures of 2019-20 season will be able to claim a refund due to increasing expectation that - should remaining games be played - y will take place behind closed doors." club also anunced furr refund options for season ticket holders who wish to purchase tickets for next season's matches. release furr added that "Season Ticket Members who may t have renewed for 20-21 season when remaining games for 19-20 season are confirmed will be given opportunity to request that ir refund entitlement be used as a credit towards ir renewal for next season." Club officials confirmed that deadline for renewals, which was earlier on May 23, has been extended until furr tice.

League officials have held multiple meetings with interested parties regarding Project Restart but thing concrete has been achieved at se garings, according to reports. re are rumours that league officials are keen for league to resume at a 'neutral location' in first few weeks of June. Earlier this week, Premier League clubs reportedly voted to return to group training in next few days.
